The Chaos Game

Shapes to test: Triangle | Pentagon | Hexagon | Octagon

How to play:

In this game, we are looking at a pattern out of randomness. This game is focused on the 8 points of a octagon below. Initially, there will be a random point picked on the canvas. Second, at random, one of the 8 points on the octagon will be chosen. A dash will be drawn at the midpoint between the randomly picked point and the randomly picked point on the octagon.
The next turn will start at that midpoint; again, one of the 6 points on the octagon will be randomly chosen. A dash will be put at the midpoint, between the point on the octagon chosen and the previous midpoint. Each additional turn will chose the previous midpoint drawn and start the process again.
This process will be repeated as many times as you would like, from 1 to 10,000; see what pattern emerges the more turns you pick.
